City College will address the e-zteach learning environment and the
student-centered approach to development and delivery of DL courses,
using Monica's course as an example.
These are web-based presentations requiring a computer (system
requirements) with internet access (preferably DSL+ speed) and an
extra phone line for audio. You will be able to interact with the presenter
through live chat. Before the Web cast, you should run the wizard to check

Open Source Software --- CVC Web cast Series
CVC will offer a series of web casts in the Fall and Spring which will
highlight a variety of open source software initiatives. Watch the CVC
listserv for details.
CCCCO Regional Workshops on Distance Education
The Chancellor's Office is coordinating a series of in-person workshops
to assist distance education administrative personnel. The two hour sessions
will address Title 5 Distance Education Guidelines, live captioning requirements
and funding, disabled student programs and services, the Distance Learning
Online Seminars, the data element dictionary, and the CVC. To register,

Project SAIL --
The League for Innovation in the Community College, with support from
the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation, has launched Project SAIL (Specialty Asynchronous
Industry Learning). Through a network of colleges and industry partners,
Project SAIL is a national marketplace promoting access, exchange, and
dissemination of specialized industry-driven programs anywhere and anytime
